Yes this morning the end of our street was flooded! My in laws business is under and we received warning from the council today to prepare for flooding on our property.  My in laws say it won't flood here and are doing nothing and while they're out drinking etc. there is a lake forming behind our house!  I sincerely hope they're right.

Hey Tia,

Sounds like you've been very lucky yourself so far, that's great news.

I've seen some of the footage this morning of Ipswich and Brisbane, it looks scary!

Hope everyone is safe! I have miraculously missed two floods now. The first where I work in Emerald and now Brisbane. I was away in Brisbane when the Emerald flood happened and now my home town of Brisbane is flooding. It's pretty scary, my parent's house is at risk so they've been flood-proofing and have moved everything from downstairs to the upper part of the house. Cars are also being left up the road at my Uncle's House who is on a hill.

My thoughts and prayers are with anyone affected!

Glad to hear you're okay, Alexandrea, sorry to hear about your in laws though.

My thoughts an prayers are with all in Queensland, I have family up there too, so I've been following as much as I can.

Thanks, I'm glad we're on a hill right now!  Though my in laws factory had flooded and two machines worth a quarter of a mil. each cannot be lifted from the floor without a crane.  Flood cover only covers water which enters the building through the roof, we're praying the water stops rising or it may take the business under. :(

I was born in Queensland, so I figured it would be alright if I joined this group. ;)

Just wanted to say that I hope all our Queensland members are staying safe during this dreadful time in Queensland.
